The Pitch Joins Gimlet Media

June 6, 2017

We are thrilled to welcome our newest addition to the Gimlet Media family: hit independent podcast, The Pitch, joins the Gimlet roster for season two. Recently named one of the best podcasts for entrepreneurs by Inc. and ForbesThe Pitch is a show where real entrepreneurs pitch to real investors, for real money. In each episode, we take you behind closed doors to the critical moment when aspiring entrepreneurs put it all on the line. The Pitch delivers on the high-stakes promise of a live pitch without shying away from the nitty gritty details of what happens after everyone shakes hands and walks out of the room.

New episodes of The Pitch will be in your feeds each Wednesday by noon ET.

The Pitch is hosted by Josh Muccio, an entrepreneur-turned podcaster, who after years running his own e-commerce company, decided to ditch it all and start a podcast to bring listeners in on the journey and emotional rollercoaster that is fundraising. This season we’ll hear The Pitch from a wide array of entrepreneurs, from a high schooler looking to fund his fledgling electric vehicle ride-sharing company, to a duo bent on disrupting school lunches to make them healthier and more convenient for all, to a VR company moving to turn in-flight entertainment on its head.

Season two of The Pitch is stacked with some heavy-hitters investors including: Jillian Manus, something of a legend in the world of VCs and partner at Structure Capital; Phil Nadel, cofounder of one of the largest syndicates on AngelList called Barbara Corcoran Venture Partners; Howie Diamond from Ranch Ventures, who is looking for altruistic companies with a social-change agenda;  Jake Chapman, a former attorney and founder of the venture arm of investment bank Gelt Inc., Gelt VC; and Sheel Mohnot, a partner at 500 Startups who broke into the VC world after selling his startup to Groupon.

Each season will be recorded in a new city to explore the entrepreneurial community, businesses, stories and voices from a diverse set of entrepreneurs. Next season, The Pitch will move from Silicon Valley to Silicon Alley, assembling a new team of investors in New York City. If you’re an entrepreneur looking for funding, can get yourself to New York City, and would like to audition to be featured on The Pitch, please visit gimletmedia.com/thepitch and click Apply.
