SFX HUH?

I’ll explain after you Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too!

The Vowel letters in English A, E, I, O, and U. Vowel SOUNDS are the sounds we make when we pronounce those letters. Vowel sounds are big sounds that you make with an open mouth.  The letter A  can make the AHHHHH sound, like in the word AHHHH-PLE (SFX CRUNCH). Or the vowel O makes the OOOOOHHH sound, like in OHHHH-boe. (SFX oboe)

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing!

So now that we know what a vowel sound is, back to our tongue twister. Annie Ate Eight Arctic Apples. So why is that tricky to say? Because it has so many vowel sounds. And when there are so many vowel sounds together, your brain can get a little confused.

Here’s another vowelicious tongue twister for you to try.
