It's world week, and today our friend Shahzad is here to tell us about Pakistan, the country where his family is from.

>> Shahzad: Hi, my name is Shahzad, my family is from Pakistan and they speak Urdu there.

>> Jasmine: Ok where in the world is Pakistan?

>> Shahzad: Pakistan is right next to India and China in south Asia

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth and brush your front teeth too

>> Jasmine: So have you ever been to Pakistan?

>> Shahzad: I've been to pakistan many times. I used to go in the summers as a kid, especially my grandparents. We would fly to Karachi, Karachi is the biggest city in pakistan. It's a city that has 24 million people. It's one of the biggest cities in the world, but you might never have heard about it.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush the molars in the back

>> Jasmine: So you used to fly to Pakistan to visit your grandparents. How do you say grandmother in Urdu?

>> Shahzad: So urdu, with family members, is very specific in titles. So you don’t say grandparents really, you say my grandmother on your moms side, or your grandmother on your dad's side. So the dada and doddi are your dads side, and your nana and nonnie are your moms side.

>> Jasmine: dada, doddi, nana, nonnie.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing

>> Jasmine: Ok what about your mom?

>> Shahzad: I call my mom ami.

>> Jasmine: Ok and what about dad?

>> Shahzad: I call my dad baba, or I could also say abu. A lot of families say abu, but family says baba. We just like how that sounds more.

>> Jasmine: Thats it for Chompers today, but come back tonight to learn more Urdu with our friend Shahzad. Until then, Shahzad count us off:

>> Shahzad: 3 - 2 - 1 Spit!
