>> Rachel: Hey! What time is it? I

>>Kids: Its bug time!

>> Rachel: YES! It’s Bugs Week on Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show!

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and don’t brush too hard.

>>Kids: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: Tonight we have more buggy riddles to buzz around your brain. Here’s your first one:

This insect can’t breathe fire

But it DOES use wings to fly

It takes a bite of smaller bugs

As it speeds across the sky

What is it?

>>Group: A DRAGONFLY!

>> Rachel: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too.

(Switch Bell)

>> Rachel: Dragonflies may not breathe fire, but they are great FLIERS! Dragonflies are one of the fastest insects, and can fly up to 30 miles per hour! That’s WAY faster than any person can run! Dragonflies can fly sideways, up and down and even backwards!

>> Rachel: Switch to the bottom of your mouth. Make sure to brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

(Switch Bell)

>> Rachel: Here is your next riddle:

This bug is strong and mighty

Lifting heavy things

It has a big horn on its face

And flies around WITH wings

>> Group: A Rhinoceros Beetle!

>> Rachel: Rhinoceros Beetles are named after rhinos because of the big horn they have on the front of their heads, just like a rhinoceros!

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush too.

(Switch Bell)

>> Rachel: But if you think Rhinoceros Beetle is a funny name, you haven’t met the Hercules Beetle! It’s a type of Rhino Beetle and it can really LIFT BRO. The Hercules Beetle can carry things that weigh 100 times more than it does! That’s like if a kid could carry around TWO CARS without breaking a sweat!

That’s it for Chompers tonight! Come back tomorrow for more incredible insects and baffling bugs! Until then, rinse with water before you…

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 spit!
