>> Rachel: It’s Holidays week, and today we’ve got a Holiday themed What’s That Sound!
And today we’ve got a special twist. Instead of a sound, We’ll play a song, and you have to guess what Holiday it goes with. Here’s your first one:
[Dreidel Song]
>> Rachel: So, what holiday goes with this song?
Find out after you switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back too.
HANUKKAH!
Hanukkah is a winter holiday celebrated by people who are Jewish. During Hanukkah, Jewish children often play with a toy called a dreidel. You spin a dreidel on the ground and each side of a dreidel has a letter written in Hebrew, a language that some Jewish people speak.
Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and keep on brushing.
Here’s your next Holiday song:
[Las mananitas]
>> Rachel: So what do you think? Do you know what this song celebrates?
That song celebrates:
A BIRTHDAY!
Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.
Ok so birthdays may not be official holidays, but they are definitely a day to celebrate! The song you heard is called Las Mananitas, and it’s a traditional song from Mexico that people sing on the morning of someone’s birthday. In lots of English speaking countries, people sing a different birthday song, one that goes like this:
[Happy Birthday Song]
>> Rachel: That's it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more holiday fun! Until then,
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit.
