>> Rachel: Hey there! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

It’s food week on Chompers, and today we’re gonna make you chuckle, chortle and crack up with some funny foodie knock knock jokes!

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side. Make sure you’re brushing the inside, the outside, and the chewing side of each tooth!

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 Brush!

 (SFX SLURP!)

>> Rachel: Here’s your first joke

Knock knock

>> KIDS: Who’s there?

>> Rachel: Water

>> KIDS: Water who?

>> Rachel: Water you talking about, you’ve known me for years!

You may not think of water as food, but a lot of our favorite foods have a LOT of water IN THEM. You’re probably not surprised that watermelon is mostly made out of water, but strawberries, cucumbers, lettuce, and celery also have a ton of water in them! (SFX CHUGGING WATER)  Ahhh! Refreshing!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth! Make circles with your brush over each tooth!

Here’s another joke

Knock knock.

>> KIDS: Who’s there?

>> Rachel: Pudding.

>> KIDS: Pudding who?

>> Rachel: Why are you pudding me through this, just let me in!

When people think of pudding, most of the time they think of like a gloppy, cold dessert pudding (SFX YUM).

But pudding can come in a lot of flavors and forms.  There’s a sweet pudding made with rice, there’s banana pudding, there’s butterscotch pudding, and then there’s salty pudding made with sausage and cheese!  (SFX SAY CHEESE!)

Ok time to switch. Make sure you’re PUDDING your toothbrush on the bottom of your mouth, and brushing all the way back to your molar teeth!

Knock knock.

>> KIDS Who’s there?

>> Rachel: Turnip.

>> KIDS: Turnip who?

>> Rachel: Turnip the bass and drop that beat! Turnips are what’s called a root vegetable. Other root vegetables are potatoes and carrots (SFX CARROT CRUNCHING), and they’re called “root vegetables” because the part you eat grows under ground (SFX WHISTLE)-- it’s a root that you eat!

It’s time to brush that last section of your mouth, on the bottom on the other side. Make sure to brush all the way to the back.

Turnips are round and pearly white, and almost look like giant eggs. Some turnips have a purple ring on top, where their stem is. But that only happens when the top of the root pokes out of the dirt, exposing it to sunlight as it grows. It's like a purple turnip sun tan!

Ok folks, those are the jokes.  We hope you get a chance to use them tomorrow.  You have done a great job brushing! You’re almost done –  but first

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
