>> RACHEL: It’s Feelings Week, and today we’ve got some true or false for you. I’ll say something, and if you think it’s true, give us a thumbs up. (SFX TRUE) If you think it’s false, give us a thumbs down. (SFX FALSE)
Here’s your first true or false.
Is feeling jealous a feeling that makes us want to pee?
So is that true or false?
Does a person who feels jealous feel like they want to pee?
The answer is… FALSE! (SFX FALSE)
No, feeling jealous does not make us feel like we want to pee!!
Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.
We feel jealous when we don’t want to share what we have - like a piece of cake, a toy, or a even a friend! Orrrrr … if someone else has a piece of cake, or a toy, or a friend, and we DON’T have it, and that makes us angry -- that’s jealousy too. Feeling jealous is a bad feeling because it stops us from just enjoying what WE have.
We feel much happier when we’re not jealous. SO a good way to get rid of jealousy (SFX) is to remember all the great things that we DO have - and share them! (SFX Ok)
Switch to the bottom of your mouth, [SFX BELL] and keep on brushing
Here’s your next true or false:
Does feeling guilty make you feel like you want to eat?
So is that true or false? Does feeling guilty make you feel like you need some food?
The answer is… False!
(SFX FALSE) Feeling like you want to eat isn’t feeling guilty - that’s feeling HUNGRY!
Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush, too.
Feeling guilty is very different. We feel guilty when we think we’ve done something wrong - something we were not supposed to do or something that has hurt someone else. (SFX ouch)
We all do things that make us feel guilty. A good way to get rid of guilty feelings is to try to make things right or to say that we know what we’ve done wasn’t okay. And also say that we are sorry!
(SFX sorry)
I don;t think you have to apologize for anything today. You did a great job brushing. Come back tonight. Until then,
