>> Rachel: Welcome back to Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Tonight we have more True or False questions for Mythical Creatures Week.

We’re going to tell you something about a mythical creature. If you think it’s TRUE, give us a thumbs up. If you think it’s  FALSE, gives us a thumbs down.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make sure to brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3 - 2 - 1 BRUSH!

>> Rachel: Here’s your first True or False:

We know now that mermaids aren’t real but a long time ago, when sailors saw REAL sea creatures - with flippers and a tail, they THOUGHT they were mermaids.

What do you think -- did sailors see sea animals and think they were mermaids?

Thumbs up or Thumbs down?

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and give your front teeth a brush too.

Ready for the answer? That’s TRUE!  Sailors saw animals in the sea, and thought they were mermaids.

One of those animals was the MANATEE.

Manatees are ocean animals with two flippers and a round tail. They’re sometimes called “sea cows”. And just like cows, manatees like to eat plants - like sea grass, leaves and algae.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush too!

Are you ready for the next True or False? Raise your hand if you’re ready!

Here it is: There are unicorns in the ocean!

What do you think? Are there are unicorns in the ocean?

If you think there are unicorns in the ocean, give a thumbs up. If that’s false, gives a thumbs down.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and make sure to brush the molars all the way in the back!

The answer is - kind of! So if you gave a thumbs up, you were sort of right, and if you gave a thumbs down, you were also sort of right!

There IS an animal in the ocean that has one long horn on the top of its head … so it LOOKS like a unicorn.  It’s called a NARWHAL. But since unicorns don’t really exist … a narwhal isn’t ACTUALLY a unicorn.

That’s it for Chompers tonight. Now, all you have to do is

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
