>> Rachel: Hey there! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make sure to reach the molars all the way in the back of your mouth

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Jobs week on Chompers, and tonight we have the answer to our quiz from this morning (SFX QUIZ)

Which of these jobs can be done by an animal? Is it:

Astronaut (SFX BLASTOFF)

Police Officer (SFX SIREN)

Or

Exterminator (SFX MOSQUITO BUZZ)

Ready for the answer?

First switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth. (SFX SWITCH) And give me a drumroll by stomping your feet. (SFX drumroll)

The answer is ... all of them! Animals have all worked as astronauts, police officers, and exterminators. Monkeys, mice and dogs have all gone to space, dogs work as police officers, and cats keep homes free of mice all over the world!

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and make sure you’re brushing the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

Service animals are trained to help people with disabilities. One type of service animal is a guide dog. (SFX BARK) Guide dogs have been trained to help blind people, or people who can’t see well, get around in the world. If you see a guide dog, you can look, but don’t touch! They’re on the job.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and make sure to brush your front teeth too.

Another job done by an animal is Truffle hunting. Truffles are a kind of wild fungus -- sort of like a mushroom -- that is really tasty to eat, but difficult to find. Truffle pigs sniff out the tasty treats, leading their owners to the secret places where they grow. (SFX OINK OINK)

Great job brushing today, come back tomorrow for more Chompers and until then make sure to rinse before you...

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
