>> Chomperbot: Good evening humans, I hope your day was full of fun. Now’s the time for Chompers! Your twice daily, code-powered tooth brushing show.

Start brushing on one side of the top of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!!

>> Chomperbot: Today we’re back with another robo-round of:

(What’s That Sound™ Theme)

>> Chomperbot: I’ll play the sound that’s made by something using CODE, and you have to guess what it is! Ready for your first one?

(Vacuum)

>> Chomperbot: Hmmm, let’s hear that again…

(Vacuum)

>> Chomperbot: So, what’s being programed to make that sound?

>>GROUP: A Vacuum!

>> Chomperbot: A Vacuum.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and keep on brushing!

Some people have a robot that vacuums their house! These little bots drive themselves around the living room, vacuuming the carpet and turning around whenever they bumps into walls. To make all that happen, it takes CODE -- so the robot knows where to vacuum, when to stop, and how to NOT fall down the stairs!

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and spit if you need to.

Ready for your next sound?

(Chompers Ep cut)

>> Chomperbot: Wait a minute, I know that sound! Let’s hear it again!

(Chompers Ep cut)

So, what’s being programed to make that sound?

>> GROUP:: Chompers!

>> Chomperbot: This very podcast! It’s Chompers!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and don’t forget the molars in the way back.

There’s a ton of work that goes into making Chompers, and a lot of it is possible thanks to computer coding! Rachel and her team use computers to write the show, and record it -- and all of the programs that they use on their computers are made out of CODE!

And of course, in order for Chompers to get to your phone or listening device, Kurt, Gimlet’s software engineer, had to write code!

It turns out it takes A LOT of lines of code to keep your teeth clean!

But we are done for today. Come back tomorrow for more Chompers.

Till then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!!
