>> Rachel: Good morning! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show!

It’s transportation week  and today we’re learning all about (SFX PLANE) Airplanes!

 But first, you’ve got to-

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

(SFX HONK)

Start on the top of your mouth on one side, and make sure to brush the front, back and chewing parts of your teeth.

(SFX PLANE) Have you ever ridden in an airplane? Have you ever seen one in the sky?

The first airplane to make a successful flight was built by TWO BROTHERS.

Their names were Wilbur and Orville Wright (SFX Hello/Cheers) and they worked together for many years to invent an eearly version of the airplanes you see today.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, ando brush the front, back and chewing part of each tooth..

Before Wilbur and Orville invented the airplane, it could take a REALLY LONG TIME to visit someone who was far away.

You had to take a train (SFX CHOO CHOO), drive in a car (SFX MODEL T HONK), or ride a HORSE! (SFX NEIGH)

But the planes we fly on are really different from the plane that Wilbur and Orville invented.  Their plane was really flimsy compared to modern planes -- and they only flew it for 12 seconds before it crashed!  (SFX CRASH)

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth. Pick a side and brush in small circles all the way around each tooth.

Now … there are so many planes, and so many people are flying in airplanes that a plane is landing SOMEWHERE in the world -- every three seconds!

So … one, two, three … a plane just landed somewhere! (SFX TICKING, Bingbong)

One, two, three … a plane just landed somewhere else!

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth. But don’t brush too hard!

There are SO many different kinds of aircraft!  And that’s our challenge today.

Keep your eyes on the sky today -- to see if you spy any AIRCRAFT.  , an airplane, a helicopter or MAYBE even a sea plane. If you see more than one, try to remember how many you saw!

And come back to Chompers tonight, because tonight, we’re going to learn what you need to know if you’re going to be a PILOT! Have a great day, and make sure to-

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
