You can spell candy but you can’t spell zucchini? Our comedian Aminah Imani has a funny theory about this!

Where to Listen

>> Rachel: Hey there!

It's time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show. Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush all the way to the molars in the back.

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Stand Up week. So put your hands together for today’s comedian Aminah Imani!

>> Aminah: If you can hear me clap twice.  if you can hear me… play asleep… Who likes to sleep? You'll do whatever it takes to fight your sleep.

>> Aminah: That’s so true! Kids NEVER want to go to bed.

>> Rachel: Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> Aminah: So my son is 4 he never wants to drink water. Every time I ask my son to drink more. He says no thank you. All day. Do you ever want to drink water? No, right. No. Are you thirsty? No. He goes to soccer class. No thank you I'm not thirsty.

But now it's time to go to sleep. Guess what.

>> Aminah: He's thirsty.

>> Rachel: Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.

>> Aminah: What kind of food do you like to eat. Shout it out.

>> Kids: Candy Candy.

>> Aminah: No one named vegetables. You know I think this is a trick right. I think kids like to eat candy and stuff that they can spell... right?

>> Rachel: Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.

>>AMINAH: Can you spell zucchini?

>> KIDS: NO.

>>AMINAH: Can you spell asparagus?

>> KIDS: NO!

>>AMINAH: Can you spell cauliflower?

>> KIDS: NO!

>> AMINAH: Can you spell pizza?

>> AMINAH: You wanna eat what you can spell!

>> Rachel: Can you spell Chompers? You did a great job brushing. Come back tomorrow and until then, rinse with water before you

>>Kids: 3, 2, 1 spit.
