[THEME SONG BEGINS]
>> RACHEL: Welcome back! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.
It’s World Records Week, and tonight we’ve got more I Spies for you. We’ll describe something, and you get to guess what it is!
Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth..
>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 Brush!
>> RACHEL: Remember, ANYTHING can be a record - as long as you can PROVE that you did it "BIGGER, LONGER, GREATER, or BETTER "
Here’s your first I Spy:
I see two people. They look very focused.
>> RACHEL: They must be doing something SUPER important. Or...maybe not. They are building a tower. A tower of toilet paper rolls!
>> RACHEL: Yeah, what is happening? What do I spy?
>> GROUP: The tallest toilet paper roll tower built in 30 seconds.
>> RACHEL: Yup, that’s right!
Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth…
>> RACHEL: but don’t brush too hard.
See!? Anything can be a world record, even something super silly! SO building the tallest toilet paper roll tower in 30 seconds can be a world record! And unwinding a toilet roll in the fastest time using only one hand- is a world record, too. It was done in 9.8 seconds.
Switch to the bottom of your mouth…
>> RACHEL: -and brush little circles around each tooth.
Here’s another I Spy:
I see a man spinning a basketball on a toothbrush.
He’s spinning the toothbrush really fast with his hand. HOLD ON! Now he’s holding the toothbrush in his mouth.
>> RACHEL: Dude, the ball keeps spinning!
What do I spy? Shout it out:
>> ZAC: A world record!
>> RACHEL: Right … Zac … but this is a specific record. I’ll tell you WHAT it is after you Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…
>> RACHEL: -and don’t forget the molars in the back.
This is the world record for longest time spinning a basketball on a toothbrush held in a mouth!
>> RACHEL: Sandeep Singh earned this record! He always wanted to set a world record, and he succeeded! He spun a basketball on a toothbrush for over 50 seconds. That’s almost a full minute! I hope Sandeep didn’t use the same toothbrush to brush his teeth with after.
>> KID: EW!
[THEME SONG BEGINS]
>> RACHEL: That’s it for Chompers tonight, but come back tomorrow with a clean toothbrush! Until then, rinse before you…
>>KID: 3, 2, 1 spit!
