>> Rachel: Welcome back to Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show!

Start brushing on the top of your mouth. Pick a side, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Sounds Week, and tonight our sound jokes will have you laughing OUT LOUD.

Here’s your first one:

What does the worst whisper sound like?

>> KIDS: I don’t know!

>> Rachel: LIKE THIS! THIS IS THE WORST WHISPER!

Here’s your next joke:

What do cows listen to while they’re on the farm?

>> KIDS: What?

>> Rachel: Moo-sic.

(SFX RIMSHOT/Moo)

Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, but don't brush too hard

Actually ... cows do listen to music, not just their own mooing!

You know how sometimes when your favorite song comes on it makes you feel happy? Farmers do the same thing for cows! (SFX Moo) To make them feel at peace, some farmers play relaxing tunes for their cows. They say the music makes them feel happy and make more milk. (SFX Kids Yumm)

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing.

Here’s one last joke before you go:

How do echos say hello to each other?

>> KIDS: How?

>> Rachel: Like this, hello! (Hello!, hello!, hello!)

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back.

Did you hear how those “hellos” just kept repeating over and over? That happens when a sound wave hits a hard surface and bounces back to you! You often hear echoes when you are in a cave or high up on a hill where you’re surrounded by rocks --  because rock is a hard surface, and the sound is bouncing off it.

So you might say hello! And then hear it again.

That’s it for Chompers tonight, you did a great job brushing. We’ll back back tomorrow with more Sounds Week, but until then, rinse with water and…

>>Kids: 3, 2, 1, spit!
