>> Rachel: Welcome back to Chompers: The Musical! Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and make tiny circles with your brush around each tooth! And keep an ear out for the BELLS that remind you to switch your brushing to a new part of your mouth!
>> NARRATOR: Dani and her mom have arrived at the dentist’s office!
>> MOM: Dani, you wait here while I go sign us in. Maybe you could look at the fish in that big tank! Or .. play with some of the toys, or read one of the books over there?
>> DANI: [SIGH] Ok mom. [SFX listlessly flipping through some books]
Psssst. Over here, kid.
Are you... Are you talking? You’re a TALKING fish?
Maybe. I heard a little rumor that you're feeling nervous. Thought I could give you some advice. Listen up, kid.
SEEN HUNDREDS OF KIDS PASS THROUGH THESE HALLS.
BABIES, TODDLERS, EVEN TEENS, SEEN THEM ALL.
THEY COME TO THE DENTIST WHENEVER THEY NEED TO GET THEIR TEETH CLEAN. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?
Maybe? But I'm still confused how a fish can talk!
DON'T WORRY DANI.
YOU'RE GONNA BE FINE,
YOU'LL EVEN HAVE A GOOD TIME.
FEELING NERVOUS IS OK.
IT’S YOUR BODIES' WAY TO TELL YOU
YOU'RE TRYING SOMETHING NEW.
SO LISTEN UP KID. TAKE MY ADVICE.
YOU ARE BRAVE, YOU ARE STRONG,
SO DON'T THINK TWICE.
YOU WALK IN THAT OFFICE AND YOU TELL THE DENTIST YOU BRUSH EVERY DAY, With Chompers! LISTEN TO WHAT I SAY.
Give it up for my fish chorus!
AND I SHOULD KNOW,
BECAUSE I'M THE FISH AT THE DENTIST.
SEE KIDS LIKE YOU EVERY DAY
AND WHAT I SAY IS TRUE -
THEY DID IT, SO CAN YOU.
FISH AND DANI
DON'T/I WON'T WORRY DANI.
WHAT'S BEEN UNKNOWN ALL ALONG
CAN'T STAY UNKNOWN FOR LONG.
YOU'VE/I'VE TRIED NEW THINGS BEFORE,
OPENED UP NEW DOORS AND
FOUND NEW WORLDS TO EXPLORE.
Wow, thanks, Fish! I feel a lot better.
One last thing - how did you learn how to talk... And how to sing?
I'll save that story for when you come back next time. Good luck, kid.
>> NARRATOR: That’s the best pep talk from a talking singing fish I’ve ever heard! But now it’s time for you to …
