>> Rachel: It’s Earth Week, and we hope you’re down to earth today because we have some tricky True or False for you! If you think what we say is true, thumbs up. If it’s false, thumbs down.

Here's your first one:

The burps and farts of cows are damaging the earth's atmosphere.

So is this true? Are cows’ burps and farts damaging the earth’s atmosphere?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your molars in the way back too.

[Switch Bell]

The answer is…. TRUE!

Cows farts and burps have METHANE gas in them and that gas are damages the atmosphere. Farmers can reduce the amount of methane in cow farts and burps by changing what they feed their cows -- and we can reduce methane by eating less beef and dairy, because fewer cows means less pollution.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush too.

[Switch Bell]

Here’s another true or false:

Siberians tigers are an endangered species.

So is that true or false? Are Siberians tigers an endangered species?

The answer is… True! Siberians tigers are an endangered species. That means only a few of them still are still alive and may no longer exist when you’ll be a grown up. Researchers think there are only a few hundred of them alive today.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and don’t brush too hard.

[Switch Bell]

The siberian tiger is a big cat. It lives in Siberia - a region on the continent of Asia. These tigers once almost disappeared in the wild - there were ONLY 40. And that’s because of hunting.  Siberian tigers were then protected from hunting so they could have a chance to have tiger babies.

That's it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more true or false. Until then…

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 spit!
