>>RACHEL: Welcome back, it’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

It’s Your Questions Week. Our friend Jasmine has more answers to YOUR questions!

Start brushing on the top of your mouth. Pick a side, and brush in little circles around each tooth.

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>>JASMINE: We’re back in space tonight because you Chompions sent us lots of super Spacey questions. Elki, Rowan, Bob, Michah, Aron…… we heard you! And what most of you guys want to know is…. WHAT IS UP with the earth, the moon and the sun!? So tonight, we’re telling you where the sun goes at night. And where the moon goes during the day. And I know just the person who can tell us/ who loves talking about this!

Hi Amber!

AMBER: Hi Jasmine, I’m so excited and ready for this!

>>JASMINE: But first switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL] and keep brushing.

>>JASMINE: OK so where does the sun go at night?

AMBER: Jasmine the sun doesn't go anywhere at night. It's actually the earth that turns around. So see for example you're the earth and I'm the sun.

>>JASMINE:  Okay.

AMBER: We see each other right now. You see me now. Turn around.

>>JASMINE: Okay turn around. You're gone.

>>AMBER: No I'm still here. You're just facing the other way.

>>JASMINE: Oh. There you are!

>>AMBER: So the sun actually hasn't moved. It’s the earth that’s turning all the time.

>>JASMINE: Switch to bottom of your mouth, and make sure you’re brushing the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.

>>AMBER: So when it's daytime for you that means your side of the Earth is facing the sun and at night your side of the earth is turned away from the sun just like you turned away from me.

>>JASMINE: Got it.  What about the moon - where does the moon go?

>>AMBER: The moon is actually a satellite. And that means it goes around the Earth over and over again. So during the day the moon is still around and you can sometimes see it!

>>JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE: -and give your tongue a brush, too.

>>AMBER: But the thing about the moon is that it makes no light of its own. So at night when you see it and it's bright that's because the sun is lighting it up

>>JASMINE: Ooo.

>>AMBER: And during the day the sun is sometimes too bright and it outshines the moon.

[THEME SONG BEGINS]

>>JASMINE: Well it must be night time because the moon is all lit up. That means it’s time for bed!  Come back tomorrow, until then you..

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!

>>JASMINE: Special thanks to Amber Davis.
