>> Rachel: Welcome back! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.
It’s transportation week and we’ve got a new set of RIDDLES for you to solve! And we also have an answer to the riddle from this morning.
But first, we’ve got to get brushing! Start on the top of your mouth on one side. Make sure you’re brushing the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!
>> Rachel: This morning we gave you a riddle to solve. Here it is one more time:
I travel on a rocket
To explore outer space
My passengers are astronauts
In orbit -- that’s the place!
What am I?
Ok, let’s hear that answer in 3 - 2 - 1!
>> KIDS GANG: A Space shuttle
>> Rachel: A Space shuttle!
Space shuttles are how astronauts get to space! A space shuttle can go almost 18-thousand miles per hour. THAT IS WAY WAY WAY WAY FASTER than the fastest plane!
Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth. And make sure not to brush too fast!
Ready for your next riddle?
>> Rachel: Green, red, yellow and black
These are cars that give a ride
Get one when it’s raining
And you’ll be warm and dry inside
What am I?
Ready to guess? Keep brushing and shout it out in 3, 2, 1,
>> KIDS: A TAXI CAB.
>> Rachel: A TAXI CAB!
Switch to the bottom of your mouth and make sure you’re making circles with your brush over each tooth.
Taxis are often painted a special color so you know what to look for.
In New York City, taxis are yellow or green. (SFX HONK HONK/ SFX IM WALKING HERE) In London, most taxis are black. (SFX TAXI!) In Barcelona taxis are yellow AND black! (SFX WHISTLE)
Ready for your last riddle!? (SFX YEAH!)
But first, switch your brushing to of the bottom of your mouth and make sure you’re covering each tooth with your brushing!
I’m an animal you ride on
Sometimes I even race
My hooves can trot or canter
Or gallop at a fast pace
What am I?
Come on, take a guess. Shout it out in 3, 2, 1!
>> KIDS: A HORSE
>> Rachel: A HORSE
A horse! People have been riding horses to get where they need to go for WAY longer than they’ve been taking taxis or flying space shuttles.
And trot, canter and gallop are all types of GAITS.
A GAIT is how a horse is moving -- and how fast.
Time to trot on to bed! You have done a great job brushing today. So tomorrow on Chompers we’ve got another STORY for you!
Only thing left to do is …
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1, SPIT!
