>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1, brush!

(Music In)

>> Jasmine: This is a fun one, this one's from a kid named Lincoln and he asked how do musicians stay in sync, or play all together

>>ANDREW: The musicians stay in sync by following tempo rhythm just like your heartbeat if you're sitting still beat at a regular pulse most music is written to carry along at a consistent and steady pace and they usually will be one musician or several musicians whose job it is to keep the tempo.

>> Jasmine: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth and don’t forget your front teeth

What would you say to a kid who's like six years old and is interested in music but doesn't know where to start.

>> ANDREW: Pick an instrument at random that appeals to you. Look through a book or pictures of some sort of all the instruments watch people play them on videos. And the one that jumps out at you that's the one you should go with. You have to follow those feelings inside of you. That Say this does something to me. This makes me feel a certain way. and then just immerse yourself in this world of music and not give up on it

>> Jasmine: Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and give your a tongue a quick brush too

Audrey asked. Why are all songs about love.

>>ANDREW: Love is a very powerful feeling. What does it feel like to be a person. What does it feel like to be alive. It feels sad. It feels scary. It feels exciting. It feels joyful as all these different flavors. It is a lot of different flavors of ice cream. There's a lot of different flavors of feeling inside you. So people want to make music that goes towards that feeling of love and excitement.

>> Jasmine: Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but dont brush too hard

Would you say that most of your songs are about love.

>>ANDREW:  Yes my songs are about the love of partying the love of music the love of being alive.

>> Jasmine: Would you define what partying means to you and your music.

>> ANDREW: so we find things that we're happy about and then we have a party about them. What if we could have a party about the greatest thing of all which is being alive. So it's really just having a party all day every day about being alive

>> Jasmine: OK thats it for today. A big thank you to our special guest Andrew WK and dont forget to

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
