>> Rachel: Good morning! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.
Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make sure to brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.
>> Kids: 3 - 2 - 1 BRUSH
>> Rachel: It’s Jokes Week on Chompers. And we’ve TAILORED some FASHION jokes to make you laugh (SFX Crickets). Why is that funny? Because our jokes are about fashion today (SFX OHHH)
Why are pilots so fashionable?
>> KIDS: Why?
>> Rachel: They know how to work the RUNWAY
(SFX Rimshot/ plane landing)
A RUNWAY is where pilots land planes. The runway is a road that is long enough for the pilot to speed up the plane when it takes off and slow down when it lands.
Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth (SFX switch Bell), and brush your molars all the way in the back too.
But there’s ANOTHER kind of runway though … in a fashion show, you can see models walk back and forth on a long and narrow stage to show the clothing they are wearing. That’s called WALKING the RUNWAY.
Ok next joke!
>> Rachel: What’s an archer’s favorite piece of clothing?
>> KIDS: What is it?
>> Rachel: A bow tie.
(SFX Rimshot/arrow fly/hit)
Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth (SFX switch bell), and make little circles around each tooth.
An ARCHER is a person who shoots arrows with a BOW. The archer pulls the strings on a bow (SFX STRETCH), aims the arrow, and lets go! (SFX FLYING and BULLSEYE HIT)
An archer wouldn’t have a BOW TIE unless he’s going to a fancy dinner! A bow tie is a little BOW you TIE around your neck. Grown-ups sometimes wear them when they want to dress up!
Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, (SFX SWITCH BELL) and brush your front teeth too.
Here’s one last joke to send you off.
Why are pants such good singers?
>> KIDS: why?
>> Rachel: Because they can really BELT out a tune
Belting means to sing very LOUDLY.
So let’s belt out the end of Chompers together. Ready to count off?
>> Kids: 3, 2, 1, SPIT
