>> Rachel: Rise and shine! it's time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s In Charge Week, and we’ve got some tricky true or false for you! If you think what we say is true, (SFX TRUE) thumbs up. If it’s false, (SFX FALSE) thumbs down.

Here's your first one:

A school teacher is in charge of all the kids in the school!

So is this true?

Is a school teacher in charge of all the kids in the school?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your molars in the way back, too.

The answer is… FALSE (SFX FALSE)!

A school teacher is in charge of all the kids in THEIR class, not the entire school! Their job is to guide their students in their education - that means teaching things like, “hello” in Spanish is “hola” (SFX hola), and 6 plus 4 is 10. But a school teacher doesn’t just teach. A teacher also makes sure their students have everything they need to succeed. And that they all feel safe and READY TO LEARN.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush, too.

Here’s another true or false:

A school principal is in charge of the teachers of the school.

So is that true or false? Is a school principal is in charge of the teachers of the school?

The answer is… True! But not only the teachers!

I’ll tell you more after you switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.

A school principal is in charge of the entire school (SFX school bell) - so not only the teachers but also the students (SFX yay) and everyone who works at the school. (SFX oh hello) That might mean doing paperwork (SFX signature), making sure no one runs in the hallway (SFX AWW Fiddle faddle) or listening to teachers’ and students’ needs to make sure that EVERYONE at the school has all the tools they need to succeed.

That's it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more true or false. Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
