>> Rachel: Good morning, it’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Pets Week, and today we’re learning about all of the furry friends -- and not so furry friends -- you Chompions have at home.

Chompion Samuel has a pet SNAKE named Constantine, (SFX HISS) and two guinea pigs named Peanut (SFX) and Hazelnut. (SFX do guinea pigs make noise?)

Idris has pet caterpillars! He says that one of them turned into a butterfly and flew away (SFX). Idris’s caterpillars eat a plant called milkweed, which is not tasty for people but caterpillars LOVE it. (SFX YUCK)

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth

Atticus has four pet rats: Dexter, Reuben, Horace, and Chino. (SFX RAT) He says his pet rats stay up all night and sleep most of the day. BUT! They do love to come out for play time and get scratched behind the ears.

Chompion Anton has a dog named Daisy, who sticks out her tongue a lot because she has no teeth! Anton, we’re going to need a picture of Daisy, because she sounds super cute!

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

Mira has a dog named Nala, who acts like a cat! (SFX CAT) She purrs when people pet her, waves her paws up in the air, curls up when she sleeps, and stretches when she gets up from a nap.

And Valentine and Felix have a cat, Pearl, who acts like a dog! Pearl likes to play fetch! I wonder what kids of things Pearl fetches?

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing!

We love hearing about your pets, but we also want to tell you about OUR pets! Team Chompers has a dog named Strider. Strider is special because he was bitten by a snake, and now he has a little scar around his left eye. Grown-ups, you can find a cute picture of Strider on our Twitter - we’re AT CHOMPERS.

That's it for today, but come back tonight to hear about more pets. Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
