>>RACHEL: Hey there, it’s time for Chompers. Your morning and night toothbrushing show.

It’s Your Questions Week. That means Jasmine is finding answers to YOUR questions!

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>>JASMINE: Today's question comes from Mark. Alright, let’s hear it!

>>MARK: Hi Chompers. My question is how much water should we drink in a day? Because my mum says I don’t drink enough.

>>JASMINE: Well I don’t know if your mom is right or wrong… But I know exactly who can tell us how much water we should drink a day. Hey Peter!!

[WATER AND ICE CUBE SOUNDS]

>>JASMINE: Peter always carry a jug of water with him.

>>PETER: Hey Jasmine.

>>JASMINE: Oh hey I see you brought your gigantic jug of water with you.

>>PETER: I drink from this every day try to drink about one of these full giant Mason jugs a day so that I can stay hydrated.

>>JASMINE: Oh what does staying hydrated mean?

>>PETER: It just means that I have enough water in my body to keep it working in tip top shape.

>>JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE:  -and brush all the way to the back.

You said water is helping your body staying in tip top shape - what does that mean?

>>PETER: Well your brain your heart your lungs your muscles and your skin all that has water.all that stuff needs water. It's like putting gas in a car.

>>JASMINE: Ok so we all need to stay hydrated for our body to stay in shape but I mean the jug of water you have is the size of your head!

>>PETER: It might be a little bit bigger.

>>JASMINE: Gosh Is this really the amount of water we should all drink in a day?

>>PETER: Well there's no rule but you should drink about four to six cups a day.

>>JASMINE: Find out after you switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE: -and brush your front teeth, too. Ok but if there is no rule - how do we know when we should drink more water?

>>PETER: If you're thirsty you probably should drink some more water.

>>JASMINE: ok.. Is there any other way to know?

>>PETER: Well another way that you can tell is if you're sweating a lot! Then you can be sure that your body is losing water and And so you need to drink more water to replace what you've lost.

>>JASMINE: Oh so if you sweat you need to drink extra water.

>>PETER: Exactly.

>>JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE: -but don’t brush too hard.

>>PETER: You can also look at the color of your pee.

>>JASMINE: EW GROSS.

>>PETER: If it's darker like if it's yellowish or brownish that means you are probably dehydrated and you need to drink more water. [6.0s]

>>JASMINE: Oh OK. So what color should it be.

>>PETER: It should be clear, as clear as possible.

>>JASMINE: oooo. I need to drink more water. [7.1s]

>>PETER: Ok! quick! let’s find you a giant jug of water before you get too dehydrated!
