>> Rachel: It’s Cities Week, and tonight we’ve got more true or false for you. I'll say something, and you give us a thumbs up if it’s true or thumbs down if it’s false.

Here’s your first one:

A neighborhood is a group of 100 people.

So is that true, or false? Is a neighborhood a group of 100 people?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the back too.

The answer is… FALSE!

A neighborhood is an area where a group of people live and work.  People living in the same neighborhood can call each other's neighbors. They share the same schools, libraries, and grocery stores. But neighborhoods come in lots of different sizes. Some neighborhoods have 100 neighbors, and some have 1000 neighbors!

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and don’t brush too hard.

Here’s your next true or false.

Traffic lights turning red and and green whenever they want.

So is that true or false? Do traffic lights turn red and and green whenever they want?

The answer is…False.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too.

Cities have THOUSANDS of traffic lights. Imagine if they all turned red at the same time! There would be tons of traffic. Traffic lights turn red, yellow and green at a very particular time. Sometimes, it depends on how much traffic there is, sometimes it depends on the time of day.

Most traffic light systems are controlled by a computer, so that the traffic lights can be changed from red to green at the right time!

That's it for Chompers today, but come back tomorrow for more cities week. Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
