>> Rachel: Welcome back!  It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and make sure to brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 Brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Bodies Week on Chompers, and tonight we’ve got some more I-Spies for you to figure out. I’ll describe what I see, and you shout out what it is.

I’m in a doctor’s office, and I see the doctor telling a patient to open up and say (SFX AHHHH). The doctor , and shines a light into the back of the patient's mouth. There’s something dangling back there in their throat. It looks like a droopy piece of chewed gum!

What do I spy?? (PAUSE)

>> KIDS: Uvula.

>> RACHEL: Uvula.

Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and keep brushing! (SFX)

You have a uvula too! and next time you're in front of a mirror, open your mouth up REAL wide and look at the back of your throat for the dangly thing. That’s your uvula.

Scientists aren’t 100% sure what the is even uvula is for, but their best guess is that it helps produce saliva, like your spit, and keeps your  throat wet enough to help you talk.

You don’t need to brush your uvula, but you should switch to the bottom of your mouth. Pick a side, and make sure to reach all the way to molars in the back (SFX)

Here’s your next I spy:

The patient is telling the doctor he has an ache in the center of his body. The doctor tells the patient to lift up his shirt a little so she can take a look.  In the middle of the patient’s tummy is THIS body part. And THIS patient has an INNIE!

What body part do I spy?

(PAUSE)

>> KIDS: Belly button!

>> Rachel: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and don’t forget your front teeth (SFX).

Your stomach INSIDE of your body, right where your belly button is. One thing your stomach doesn't like is having air inside of it, so when there's AIR hidden in your food, your tummy sends it back up in the form of a (SFX BELCH)

That’s it for Chompers tonight. Come back tomorrow morning for more mighty muscle facts, and make sure to rinse before you

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1 SPIT!
