>> RACHEL: Welcome back! It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Pick a side on the top of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush all the way around each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 Brush!

>> RACHEL: It’s Dinosaurs Week. And tonight we’ve got an answer to this morning’s quiz.

[QUIZ THEME]

>> RACHEL: When did dinosaurs roam the earth?

Was it 1 million years ago?

50 millions years ago?

Or 100 million years ago?

Switch your Brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and brush your front teeth too.

The answer is… 100 Million years ago!

[MUSIC STARTS]

>> RACHEL: If you had a time machine that could take you back 100 million years ago,

[TIME MACHINE SOUND EFFECTS]

>> RACHEL: -you would step and see…

[SOUND OF AMAZED TIME TRAVELER]

>> RACHEL: -almost NOTHING familiar!  People didn’t exist at all, so there are no towns or cities. And dinosaurs big and small could be found all over, on land and in the sea!

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and don’t forget your molars in the way back.

Dinosaurs are ancient reptiles. We don’t have dinos anymore, but we do have reptiles still today -- like snakes, lizards, turtles and crocodiles. Some dinosaurs were HUGE, like the Patagotitan, which was longer than two school buses!

[BUS HORN]

>> RACHEL: And other dinosaurs were tiny, like the Caenagnathasia, which was about the size of a dog.

[DOG BARKS]

>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and give your tongue a brush too.

[MUSIC STOPS]

>> RACHEL: 65 millions years ago dinosaurs become extinct. That means the dinos disappeared, and that’s why there aren’t any today. Scientists are still studying why dinosaurs went extinct!

>> ZAC: Hey Rachel, I’ve got one for you.  Why were dinosaurs so smelly?

>> RACHEL: Oh, hi Zac. I don’t know you were here, why were dinosaurs so smelly?

>> ZAC: Because they are exStinkT!

[SAD TROMBONE]

[THEME SONG IN]
