>> Rachel: Welcome back, it’s time for Chompers your morning and night toothbrushing show

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush all the way to the molars in the back.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Oceans Week and tonight we’ve got more silly sea knee slappers to get you giggling.

(SFX KID LAUGH)

Here’s your first one:

What's a sea turtles favorite kind of sandwich?

>> Kids: What is it?

>> Rachel: Peanut butter and Jellyfish!

(SFX RIMSHOT/SPLAT)

Sea turtles look kind of like the regular turtles that we have on land, but they are MUCH better swimmers because instead of feet, they have flippers’. Sea turtles swim over looooong distances, almost across a whole ocean, to get from the places where they eat, to the places where they lay their eggs.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth

Here's your next joke:

What do you call a crab that wont share?

>> Kids: What?

>> Rachel: Shell-fish.

(SFX RIMSHOT?LAUGH)

You might think that because of their name, shellfish are a type of fish, but they're not! They’re INVERTEBRATES.  Invertebrates are animals that don’t have backbones. SHELLFISH are invertebrates that live in the sea, and have a hard SHELL -- like

Oysters, Lobsters and Crabs (SFX CASTANETS)

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush the molars in the back too

Here’s another joke:

What did the mama sea otter say when the baby sea otter did something bad?

>> Kids: What did they say?

>> Rachel: You otter be ashamed of yourself

Sea otters are super cute mammals that live in the chilly waters off the coast in northern California. Unlike most other mammals that live in the ocean, Sea Otters don't have a thick layer of fat to keep them warm. Instead, otters have super thick fur to keep them toasty in the water. (SFX SPLASH)

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don't brush too hard

Here’s one last joke before you go:

Knock knock

>> Kids: Whos there?

>> Rachel: Orca!

>> Kids: Orca Who?

>> Rachel: ORCA-nt you just let me in??

SFX RIMSHOT/SPLASH

Orca’s are a type of toothed whale that are black and white, and love to eat seals and large fish. They are excellent hunters, which is how they got their other name: Killer Whales.

That's it for Chompers today, we hope you’ve enjoyed our funny, fishy jokes! Come back tomorrow for more oceans week, and until next time

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit
