[THEME SONG BEGINS]

>> RACHEL: Good evening, and welcome to Chompers! Your morning and night tooth brushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 BRUSH!

[THEME SONG ENDS]

>> RACHEL: Get ready for some more laughs, cause it’s Body Systems Week on Chompers and we’ve got some jokes for you.

Ready for your first one?

Why didn’t the stomach like the kidneys?

Why?

Because they wouldn’t liver alone!

[SAD TROMBONE]

>> KID: I don’t get it.

>> RACHEL: I’ll explain in a minute, but first, switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and brush your front teeth too.

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>> RACHEL: Your stomach, your kidneys, and your liver are all ORGANS inside your body! Remember, organs are a part of your body that has a very specific job. You can’t SEE most of your organs but do all types of helpful things to keep you healthy. Your LIVER is one of them. And liver sounds like LEAVE HER, which is what makes the joke HILARIOUS.

[LAUGHTER]

>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and don’t forget your molars in the way back.

Ok, here’s your last joke:

What did the nervous system say at her surprise birthday party.

>> KID: What did it say?

>> RACHEL: Nothing! She was shocked!

[RIMSHOT]

>> RACHEL: Have you ever seen people jump out and say SURPRISE! For someone’s birthday? The surprise can be shocking, but your nervous system is ALWAYS shocked,  because that’s what the nervous system does!

>> KID: HUH?

>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and don’t brush too hard.

When your brain sends a message to another part of your body, that message is an electrical signal, kinda of like a shock…

[ZAP]

>> RACHEL: That signal travels in your nerves. These signals move super quickly, sometimes as fast as 200 miles per hour!

[ZOOM]

>> RACHEL: They go so fast you don’t notice any time between when you think something and when you do it The speed can be kinda shocking.

[MUSIC ENDS]
