>> Rachel: Good evening, it's time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, pick a side and make tiny circles with your brush.

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1, BRUSH!

>> Rachel: It’s Holidays week.  And I’ve got a friend here with me today … Hey Marcus,

>> MARCUS: Hey Rachel ..

>> RACHEL: Marcus - you write the songs for Chompers so this feels like a question you’d know the answer to  .. there are a lot of songs for Christmas and the Fourth of July but why don’t I know any songs for Groundhog Day?

>> MARCUS: I .. I … I don’t know.

>> RACHEL: Wait, you didn’t learn that at the Berklee College of Music?

>> MARCUS: Or I was sick that day … do you want to WRITE a song for Groundhog Day?

>> RACHEL: Well, it sounds like we kind of HAVE to now.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth and make sure you’re brushing the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> MARCUS: Ok, Groundhog Day song .. How about something like …

If he sees his shadow, then winter sticks around.

But if there is no shadow, when he comes out of the ground

Then spring, is coming so make a joyful sound

But if he sees his shadow, more snow’s coming round

>> RACHEL: That sounds great! Let’s do one for Leap Day?

>> MARCUS: Leap Day … ?  Oh, you mean how every four years there’s a February 29th -- an extra day in the year!

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, pick a side and and don’t forget those front teeth.

>> MARCUS: Ok so for Leap Day what about …

Leap Day is a day of the year well not exactly every year

Precisely one out of every four years we get a leap day to appear

On that special every fourth year is when we know our hero’s near

Pops up between February and March it’s an extra special day in a extra short month

>> RACHEL: That really rocks … OK don’t you think there should be a song for EARTH DAY! We should DEFINITELY have a song to celebrate our whole planet!

>> MARCUS: Ok … how about ….. This?

This is the Earth

We only have one

This is the Earth

This is its holiday

This is the Earth

We only get one

This is the Earth

You better treat it right!

Switch your brush to the other side of the bottom of your mouth and don’t brush too hard.

>> RACHEL: THAT SONG IS AMAZING!  Marcus, you’re a genius! What other holidays can we write about!

>> MARCUS: What about International Time for Bed Day?

>> RACHEL: That’s sounds great! I mean, I’ve never heard of it but let’s do it!

>> MARCUS: Rachel. I’m kidding. There’s no such thing. It’s just actually time for bed. All this songwriting is making me super tired.

>> RACHEL: Oh … ok.

>> MARCUS: But everyone can come back for more Chompers tomorrow, after they ..

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
