What kind of pan is round on the bottom instead of flat? Find out on today's I Spy!

Where to Listen

>> RACHEL: Rise and shine it's time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Get your toothbrush ready and start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, but don’t brush too hard.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> RACHEL: It’s Cooking Week on Chompers, and today we’re playing I Spy. I'll describe something, and you have to tell me what it is. Here’s your first one:

I’m in my kitchen, getting ready to cook a meal. Before I start, I reach for something.

>> RACHEL: It has a lot of pages.

>> RACHEL: When I open it up, there are pictures of food, and a lot of lists and numbers … and … a bunch of food stains!

>> RACHEL: What am I holding?

>> RACHEL: Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth…

>> RACHEL: -and brush the molars in the back, too.

So what do I spy?

>> KID: A Cookbook!

>> RACHEL: A cookbook! Cookbooks have recipes, which are instructions for how to make yummy meals. A recipe is how you make sure what you cook comes out tasting exactly how you want. There are all kinds of cookbooks out there — dessert cookbooks, vegetarian cookbooks. And even cookbooks just for kids!

>> KID: Yay!

>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth…

>> RACHEL: -and brush your front teeth, too.

Here’s your next I Spy:

It’s time to start cooking. I reach for something that looks like a little frying pan — but instead of being flat on the bottom, it’s round like a ball! It’s got a big handle. I put it on the stove…

>> RACHEL: Turn on the heat...

>> RACHEL: throw in some veggies…

[SIZZLE] and they start to sizzle.

>> RACHEL: What am I using? Shout it out.

>> KID: A wok!

>> RACHEL: A wok!

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

>> RACHEL: -and brush in little circles around each tooth.

Woks are a special type of frying pan with a rounded bottom. They originally come from China, but they’re now used all over the world. Woks are great for making a stir-fry — that’s when you throw a bunch of ingredients in, like veggies and noodles — and fry them all up into a delicious meal.

>> RACHEL: That's it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more delicious I Spies! Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit.

>> RACHEL: Chompers is a production of Gimlet Media.
