>> Chomperbot: Good morning human teeth brushers, it’s Chomperbot here to host your twice daily tooth brushing show.
Start brushing on the top of your mouth. Pick a side and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!!
It’s Coding Week, and today we have some computer science jokes that we hope you laugh at.
Ready for your first joke?
Why did the roller coaster never end?
>> KID: Why?
>> Chomperbot: Because it was all LOOPS!
>> Chomperbot: Get it? Because a loop is something that repeats? I’ll explain after you-
Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and give your front teeth a brush too!
>> Chomperbot: Some roller coasters that go really fast do a loop, which means they go upside-down! (SFX Twirl) But in CODING, a loop is a word used to describe CODE that REPEATS!
>> Chomperbot: If I add a LOOP to my code, it tells the computer [beep] “do it again!” [beep beep] [beep] “do it again!” [beep beep]
You can use a loop to repeat something a few times, or FOREVER!
I don’t think I’d want to ride a roller coaster that loops forever! (Dizzy Spins)
Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing.
Ready for your next joke?
Why was the dressmaker’s website so formal?
>> KID: Why?
>> Chomperbot: Because it had a strict DRESS CODE!
>> Chomperbot: Get it? A DRESS CODE
Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing.
A dress code means there are rules about what you are allowed to wear. So someone might say “My party is VERY FANCY! The dress code is FORMAL -
When something is FORMAL, it’s FANCY - like wearing a tuxedo or a sparkly dress!
A website doesn’t have a dress code … but it is MADE out of CODE!
Thank goodness Chompers has no dress code. But if it did, it would probably be pajamas!
That’s all the time we have for jokes this morning, but come back tonight for more Chompers, with me! Your friendly Chomperbot.
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!!
