[THEME SONG BEGINS]

>> RACHEL: Welcome back to Chompers! Your morning and night tooth brushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 BRUSH!

[THEME SONG ENDS]

>> RACHEL: It’s Dinosaur Week, and tonight we’ve got more riddles to uncover.

I’m not on a diet

But I don’t eat any meat

Plants and leaves are my thing

And fruit for a treat!

What am I?

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>> GROUP: An Herbivore!

>> RACHEL: An Herbivore!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

An herbivore is an animal that mostly eats plants, like grass, leaves, roots or berries.

>> KIDS: YUM!

>> RACHEL: A lot of herbivores have special body parts that help them get the foods they like.  Like the Brontosaurus! It had a super long neck-

[CARTOON STRETCHING SOUND]

>> RACHEL:  -that helps it eat the leaves off the tops of trees, higher up than most other dinosaurs can reach. Kind of like a giraffe.

[MUSIC ENDS]

>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: and give your tongue a brush too.

Ready for your next riddle?

My food is always on the move

I have to hunt for what I munch

So keep away when I get hungry

Or you’ll become my dino LUNCH!

[DINOSAUR CHOMP]

>> RACHEL: What am I?

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>> GROUP: A Carnivore!

>> RACHEL: A Carnivore!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and brush your front teeth too.

There’s no way you’ll become a dino’s lunch because Dinosaurs aren’t around anymore…

[DINOSAUR CHOMP]

>> RACHEL: -but there are still carnivores. Carnivores are animals that mostly eat meat! Some carnivorous dinosaurs were big and strong, like the T-Rex...

[DINOSAUR STOMP]

>> RACHEL: -but others were small dinosaurs. A small dino could be very fast...

[CARTOON ZOOM]

>> RACHEL:  -which would have helped with chasing down prey.
