>>RACHEL: Hi Chompions!  It’s time for more Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

[THEME SONG ENDS]

>>RACHEL: It’s Teeth Week, and tonight we have more I spy for you! I’ll SPY some ANIMAL TEETH, and you have to guess what type of animal these teeth belong to!

Here's your first one:

I see an animal…

[MOOO!]

>>RACHEL: -with some very large and flat teeth . And these teeth are chewing a bunch of leaves and grass.

[CHEWING SOUNDS]

>>RACHEL: This animal is chewing, and chewing, and chewing … wow, this is taking forever!

So what do I spy, whose teeth are these?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the back, too.

[SWITCH BELL]

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>>RACHEL: So, Whose teeth do i spy?

>>GROUP: A cow’s teeth!

Cows are herbivores! Herbivores are animals that only eat plants. Herbivores’ teeth are mostly wide and flat so they can grind plants more easily. Some herbivores also have a few sharp teeth for tearing plants.

[LEAVES RUSTLE]

>>RACHEL: Cows, horses, and deer are all herbivores.

[COWS]

>>RACHEL: Switch to the bottom of your mouth...

[SWITCH BELL]

>>RACHEL: -but don’t brush too hard.

[MUSIC ENDS]

>>RACHEL: Here’s your next I Spy:

I see an animal with some pointy teeth, ripping and tearing some meat.

[TEARING MEAT]

>>RACHEL: And these teeth are very different from the herbivores’ teeth. They are very sharp and very long.

Whose teeth are these?

What do I spy?

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>>GROUP: A hyena’s teeth!

>>RACHEL: Hyenas are carnivores. Carnivores are animals that mostly eat meat. Plants are not their thing!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>RACHEL: -and brush your front teeth, too.

Carnivores’ long and sharp teeth to make it easier to bite through meat. Hyenas, lions and tigers are carnivores.

But how about omnivores - animals that eat BOTH meat and plants? Like humans! Omnivores have a mix of teeth of all shapes and sizes, so they can eat the same things as herbivores…

[MOOO!]

>>RACHEL: -and the same things as carnivores.

[ROAR!]

[MUSIC ENDS]

[THEME SONG BEGINS]

>>RACHEL: That’s it for Chompers today. So it’s time to…

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!

[THEME SONG ENDS]
