Rise and shine, it’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.

3, 2, 1 BRUSH!

This week's theme is NATURE, naturally, we're starting the week with a quiz.

Our question is: How OLD is the earth’s OLDEST tree?

Is it:

1000 years old?

5000 years old?

Or 8000 years old?

To find out, let’s branch out, and learn more about terrific trees.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back.

Trees are one of the most incredible and useful plants on planet earth. Trees make delicious fruits like apples and oranges. You can hang a hammock from a tree to relax in. And we use wood from trees to build houses and toys!

But trees can do a lot more than give you shade on a sunny day. One of the most amazing things trees do is clean the air that we breathe.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing.

Trees don’t have lungs like humans but they do have LEAVES. Trees clean the air with their leaves … removing CARBON DIOXIDE from the air. Carbon dioxide is a gas that can be bad for the environment if there's too much of it. Trees suck up that carbon dioxide, and turn it into OXYGEN, the gas that humans need to breathe.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush those front teeth too.

So, now that we know some of the amazingly awesome things trees can DO, it’s time to make a choice

How OLD is the world’s OLDEST tree?

Is it:

1000 years old?

5000 years old?

Or 8000 years old?

You’ll have to come back to Chompers tonight to find out! Until then, time to rinse and 3 - 2 - 1 SPIT!
