>> Rachel: Good morning! It’s time for Chompers, you twice daily toothbrushing show!

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and brush in little circles around each tooth

>> Kids: 3, 2, 1, brush!

>> Rachel: It’s GEOGRAPHY Week! And today we’ve got some I Spies for you.

I’m going to describe a part of the world, and you have to guess where I am!

Here’s your first one:

I see a place that’s covered in snow and ice. It’s COOOLD. There are huge chunks of ice floating in the water, (SFX Floating) and oh look! I see a big white polar bear. (SFX bear) What place do I spy?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth but don’t brush too hard.

So, what place do I spy?

>> GROUP: The Arctic!

>> RACHEL: The Arctic!

It’s REALLY cold here... the ground is covered in ice and sometimes, it can go lower than negative 50 degrees! (SFX WHAT?) It’s so cold that if you spit on the ground,  (SFX spit) it will freeze almost immediately! (SFX Brrrr!) One of the reasons it’s so cold, is that the sun hardly ever shines in the Arctic. In the winter, the sun doesn’t even come up at all!

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

Here’s another I Spy:

I see a place that’s very dry and HOT. (SFX... panting?) Everywhere I look, I see big hills of yellow sand. And look! There’s a strange animal walking by (SFX Sand footsteps) - it has a big hump on its back. I know - It’s a camel! (SFX Camel Grunt)

What place do I Spy?

Find out after you Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth and keep brushing.

So what do I spy?

>> GROUP: The Sahara Desert!

>> RACHEL: The Sahara is the BIGGEST hot and sandy desert on earth. It’s 3 and a half MILLION square miles. That’s the size of the ENTIRE United States - if you don’t count Alaska. (SFX WOW) It’s really HOT, and it hardly ever rains. Sometimes it can be 120 degrees in the Sahara. (SFX YIKES) That’s almost hot enough to fry an egg outside! (SFX sizzle)

That’s it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more wild places! Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
