Transcript

Good morning! It’s time for Chompers! Your morning and night toothbrushing show!

Our story is about Dev the Detective … and the case of the missing flashlight.

But first, pick a side on the top of your mouth, and start brushing in small circles all the way around each tooth.

3, 2, 1 - BRUSH!

(PHONE RING SFX)

Dev the Detective has just gotten a call from Little old lady Hilde.

Little old lady Hilde says her cat has gone missing. Again.

(CAT SFX)

So to solve the case, Dev grabs his briefcase and goes to grab flashlight but ...

DEV: My flashlight - it’s GONE!

SFX DUN DUN DUN

Someone must have taken it!

DEV: There’s a flashlight thief in town, eh?

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too!

DEV: I know I had my flashlight yesterday. If I go back to all the places I was yesterday, maybe I’ll find it. Yeah, that’s the plan - I’ll retrace my steps.

DEV: I stopped by the post office and then ... (SFX finger snap) That’s it! I took my car to the repair shop to get it fixed. Maybe Missy the Mechanic has seen my flashlight!

DEV: Wait! Missy the Mechanic uses a flashlight to look inside cars. Could Missy be the flashlight thief?!

SFX DUN DUN DUN.

Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth. Give your tongue a brush too.

Dev the Detective arrives at Missy’s shop.

MISSY: What’s gone missing now, Dev?

DEV: (embarrassed) How did you know?! I uh, I can’t seem to find my flashlight.

MISSY: Did you retrace your steps?

DEV: Of course!

Dev pulls out his notepad to show her his clues.

DEV: I hate to tell you this but I came here yesterday to get my car fixed. That  makes your repair shop - THE SCENE OF THE CRIME!

SFX DUN DUN DUN!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth [SFX] but don’t brush TOO hard.

MISSY: No way. I use a headlamp to work on cars so my hands are free to fix the engine. I wouldn’t have taken your flashlight for that.

DEV: Then who took my flashlight?

MISSY: Where else did you go yesterday?

DEV: I stopped at the police station to chat with the Police Chief (beat) Wait! Police patrol the streets at NIGHT. Maybe Chief took my flashlight!

SFX DUN DUN DUN
