Hey! Welcome back to Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show!
It’s Stories week and Tonight, we’re going to return to the story of Olive the Witch.
Olive the witch had used a magic spell to SHRINK Clementine the farmer down to the size of a cherry tomato. Because Olive was MAD that Clementine wouldn’t let her come to the Harvest Festival with her durian fruit. Sure … durian is STINKY. But it’s also delicious. And with Clementine stuck in a shoebox, Olive would be able to share her durian with everyone.
Pick a side on the top of your mouth, and make circles all over the inside and outside of each tooth.
Now, countdown with me! 3...2....1… BRUSH!
Olive placed the shoebox on the counter and began to prepare her durian for the festival.
OLIVE: Here Clementine, have a taste!
CLEMENTINE: No way! Yuck! Get that gross thing away from me!
Clementine gave the chunk of durian a kick, (SFX KICK, GRUNT) and crossed her arms.
OLIVE: Suit yourself. If you like being tiny, that is.
CLEMENTINE: Wait, what?
OLIVE: I made the spell so that only DURIAN can break it! If you TRY it, you’ll return to your normal size.
CLEMENTINE: No way.
Olive gave a shrug, and jumped on her broom and headed to the harvest festival by herself. (SFX HOP/ SFX SWISH)
Let’s switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth!
Clementine gave the durian a doubtful look. It was so smelly. (SFX DISDAIN) But she didn’t want to miss the party.
So she took a deep breath … (SFX BREATH) and took a tiny bite of durian.
The durian wasn’t disgusting at all! It tasted sweet, like a mango, and creamy, like ice cream. Olive had been right this whole time!
As Clementine nibbled on the durian (SFX NOM) she began to GROW! (SFX WHISTLE/ SFX WOAH!) (SFX RUNNING)
It’s time to switch to the bottom of your mouth.
Clementine raced off to the Harvest Festival … but when she arrived … she found Olive crying.
(SFX VILLAGERS IN BG) But when she arrived, she found Olive crying. (SFX QUIET SOBBING)
CLEMENTINE: What’s wrong Olive?
OLIVE: I brought all of my durian desserts to share -- but no one will try them!
So Clementine DEMANDED that everyone take a bite.
Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth and keep brushing!
The villagers hesitated. So Clementine jumped up onto a bale of hay, grabbed a chunk of durian, and took a BIG BITE!
SEE IT’S DELICIOUS
So one by one, each villager grabbed a chunk of Durian, and took a bite. And … it … WAS … delicious!
(SFX VILLAGERS ENJOYING FOOD)
