>> NIKKI: Well I'm Nikki Bidun, I'm 12 years old and I really love to cook.
>> JASMINE: What Nikki didn’t tell you is that she’s a chef! She was the winner of a TV Cooking competition called Top Chef Jr.
So Nikki, how did you get into cooking?
>> NIKKI: When I was about six or 7. I really started getting into it. I liked cooking because I was curious and you could experiment.
>> JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth…
>> JASMINE: -and don’t brush too hard.
What’s the first thing you made?
>> NIKKI: I think one of the first things I made was breakfast. So whether it be eggs or muffins or scones or biscuits. I also started making like these parfaits.
>> JASMINE: How do you make a parfait?
>> NIKKI: It's generally like yogurt granola honey. And if you have it like sometimes fresh fruit or berries. it's something that I really like to cook because, because they're delicious and they don't take a lot of work.
>> JASMINE: Switch to the bottom of your mouth…
>> JASMINEL -and make sure you’re brushing, the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth. Nikki, I heard that a big part of cooking is cleaning up after. Is that true?
>> NIKKI: Oh for sure. there's a lot of dangerous things in the kitchen like knives or like a flame or the oven or anything like that. So I definitely clean up for myself because it's important to have a tidy kitchen, it's a safer kitchen!
>> JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…
>> JASMINE: -and give your tongue a brush too. And now, a preview of tonight’s episode after chef Nikki has cooked one of her favorite recipes! Can you guess what it is? Listen closely!
