>>RACHEL: Good morning, it's time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

It’s Your Questions Week. That means we’re answering questions you Chompions sent us! Your questions! So we sent Jasmine around our offices at Gimlet Media and asked around for answers to your questions.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

[THEME SONG ENDS]

>>RACHEL: Alright Jasmine, handing it over to you now.

>>JASMINE: Thanks! Today we've got some questions about the universe and space and our two guests today. And they are super excited to talk about the universe and space. It's my friends Alice and Stevie. Hi guys.

>>ALICE AND STEVIE: Hi Jasmine. Hello.

JR [00:01:27]OK so today's first question comes from Levi [2.3s]

(KID TAPE / LEVI) >>LEVI: Hi, I’m Levi. I’m 8 from Kauai, Hawaii. My question is, how big is the universe?

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>>JASMINE: What do you think Alice?

>>ALICE: Ok so the universe is huge! It is bigger than a million bazillion trillion buhgillion elephants.

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE: Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the way back.

>>ALICE: And humans actually don’t know how big the universe is!! But we do know that’s it getting bigger!! It’s always growing! And it's so big that the human brain can't even totally understand how big it really is.

>>JASMINE: Man the universe sounds huge.

>>ALICE: Isn’t that cool?!

>>JASMINE: Ok we have another question,

but first switch to the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE: and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.

>>JONAH: My name is Jonah. My question is, we know the universe is expanding, and we know it is infinite, but how can infinity expand?

>>ALICE: Whoa. I don't know. Stevie do you know this one?

>>STEVIE: Well actually, we don't know whether the universe is finite like if it has a certain size and shape or if it's infinite. Meaning it goes on forever. But what we do know is that the universe is expanding.

>>ALICE: What does that mean?

>>JASMINE: Find out after you switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>>JASMINE: and brush your front teeth, too.

>>STEVIE: When we say it's expanding what we mean is the universe is sort of stretching from the inside

>>ALICE: Oooooooh.

>>STEVIE: So Alice if you lived on one galaxy and I lived on another and we were looking at each other, you would be moving further and further away from me and getting smaller and smaller in the distance. And that’s because the space between us would be growing.

>>ALICE: So if I'm standing in my galaxy and I'm looking at you it would look like you're going further and further away.?

>>STEVIE: Exactly. I'd be getting smaller and smaller and smaller till you could barely see me.

>>ALICE: Oh no. Well I guess I'm glad we all live on planet Earth then (laugh).

[THEME SONG BEGINS]

>>JASMINE: And that we can all brush our teeth together. Come back tonight for more Chompers, and as the universe stretches…don’t forget to…

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!

>>JASMINE: Special thanks to our Gimlet friends, Alice Kors and Stevie Lane!
