>> Rachel: Welcome to Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show!

It’s Chompions Week! And today we’re going to share the HEROIC historical figures that YOU guys sent us  … famous people -- and not so famous people -- from the past.

Pick a side on the top of your mouth, and make sure to brush the inside, the outside and the chewing side of each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 Brush! (SFX)

>> Rachel: Our first historical figure comes from Carleigh, and it’s (SFX DRUMROLL) -- Alexander Hamilton. (SFX)

One of Carleigh’s favorite things about Hamilton is he was an important assistant to General George Washington. GENERAL George Washington? That’s right, America’s first president was a general BEFORE he was President. President George Washington picked Alexander Hamilton to help our new country figure out how to manage its money.  And that’s why now Alexander Hamilton is on our ten dollar bill!

Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth (SFX SWITCH), and make sure to reach the molars all the way in the back.

Ellery sent us the next historical figure - Amelia Earhart. Amelia Earhart is most famous for being the first woman to fly a plane by herself across the Atlantic Ocean. (SFX AIRPLANE ENGINE).  At the time, very few people had made that flight, because airplanes were very very new.

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing! (SFX)

William says his favorite historical figure is John Haviland. John Haviland was an architect. An architect is a person who designs buildings! Haviland designed a big jail in Philadelphia ... that was full of lots of new inventions, like toilets that flushed. Way back then, even the White House, where the president lives, didn’t have flushing toilets!

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and make sure to brush those front teeth too. (SFX)

Finnegan’s favorite historical figure is WALT DISNEY.  Walt Disney is one of the people who created Mickey Mouse … and then went on to make movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinnochio and Bambi.  His company, the Walt Disney Company, makes all kinds of movies and shows now … and of course runs the amusement parks Disneyland and Disneyworld.

Ok, you’re all done for today! Great job brushing, and make sure you rinse before you...

>>KIDS: 3, 2, 1 Spit!
