>> RACHEL: Hey there! Let’s get brushing because it’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.
Start on the top of your mouth, pick a side, and brush all the way to the molars in the back.
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!
>> RACHEL: It’s Feelings Week, and tonight we've got some more puzzling riddles. Here’s your first one:
What should I think?
What should l do?
I’m not really sure
I’m looking for a clue
What is this feeling? Shout it out:
>> GROUP: CONFUSED????
>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your front teeth, too.
The feeling of being confused - or confusion - comes up when we can’t understand or think clearly about something. Sometimes we feel confused because we don’t know what to think or feel. It’s kind of like feeling puzzled. (Kids HUh / what?) Like if there was a difficult puzzle in front of us and we didn’t know how to put the pieces together. (SFX HIT) Because they just don’t seem to fit!
When we feel confused, we might take some time to think before coming back to whatever is puzzling us!
Switch to the bottom of your mouth and keep on brushing.
Here’s your next riddle:
Sometimes I make your heart race
Mostly I’m warm and sappy
I always want to feel this way
It makes me feel so happy
What is this feeling? Shout it out?
>> GROUP: LOVING!
>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth and brush the inside, outside, and chewing side of each tooth.
Loving is the feeling of love. We can feel love for something - that means we really, really like it. And we can feel love for someone. (SFX birds chirping) Feeling love for someone is when we like them and want to spend time with them and take care of them - like our grown-up or our pet! (SFX Meow) You feel warm and fuzzy when you’re around them. (SFX)
>> RACHEL: I hope you LOVED brushing your teeth. That's it for Chompers tonight, until next time
>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit.
