>> Rachel: Welcome back, it's time for more Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show!

Lets get brushing! Start on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush all the way back to the molars.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Pets Week, and tonight we have more riddles about our animal friends. (SFX OINK OINK)

Here’s your first one:

This pet is very talkative

And has colorful wings

It has a beak and claws

And sometimes it even sings

What pet is this?

>> Group: A PARROT

>> Rachel: A parrot.

(SFX PARROT SQUAWK)

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, but don't brush too hard.

Parrots are one of the most popular birds to keep as a pet, because their feathers are beautiful, and because they’re one of the few animals that can talk!  Parrots are good at MIMICKING -- that is COPYING -- what the humans around them are saying!

Parrots can also live for a very very very long time, so before you ask your grown-up for a parrot, make sure you’re going to want it as a pet for a really long time -- even after you’ve graduated from high school and become a grown-up yourself! (SFX PARROT)

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and keep brushing!

Here’s another pet riddle:

My face looks like a racoon

But my body’s long and furry

Im cuddly and curious

And around your house I’ll scurry

What am I?

A FERRET

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

Ferrets are famously fun, and funny pets. They are very curious animals that love to run around and play. (SFX) They can even make friends with other animals, like cats, dogs and birds!

And here’s a funny ferret fact -- if you have a group of ferrets -- so more than one ferret, it’s called a “BUSINESS!” A business of ferrets !  But before you go starting a ferret business, keep in mind, taking good care of ferrets is hard work, so they’re a better pet for grown-ups!

That's it for Chompers tonight, but come back tomorrow to learn about more pets! Until then,

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
