Is it:
5 thousand (SFX slow thump thump)
10 thousand or (SFX faster thump thump)
100 thousand (SFX fastest thump thump)
To find out, let’s learn to love the HEART!
But first, switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth (SFX), and make sure to reach the molars all the way in the back of your mouth.
Your heart is one of the hardest working organs in your whole body keeping blood pumping to your fingers (SFX TWINKLES) and your toes (SFX TWINKLES).
Hold out your hand and make a fist. For kids, that’s about the size of your heart right now. For grown ups, their hearts are the size of TWO grown up fists put together!
Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth. (SFX) Pick a side, but also make sure to brush your front teeth too!
Your heart’s job is to keep blood pumping through all the arteries, veins and capillaries in your body.
Think of your body like a giant city (SFX TRAFFIC/ HONK HONK). Your arteries are like big highways. (SFX CAR PASSING BY) Your blood flows out of your heart -- and through the rest of your body -- on these highways.
Another type of highway in your body is your VEINS! The blood in your body returns to your heart through VEINS. So it goes out of your heart through arteries, and comes back through veins.
Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard (SFX).
Now that we know a little more about your mighty heart, it’s time to decide:
