Good morning! It’s time for Chompers! Your morning and night toothbrushing show!
Its Stories week, and today we’ve got one of our favorites, the story of Clementine the Farmer and Olive the Witch!
But first . . . are you all set to start brushing? (SFX YAY!) Start on the top of your mouth, on one side. Make sure to brush the outside of your teeth AND the inside!

BRUSH!!!!
(SFX HARP/STORY)
Every year in Harvest Village, all the people would gather together to have a harvest festival. (SFX FARM AMBIENCE)
Everyone in the entire village was invited to Clementine’s farm.
Clementine: HI!
And each neighbor would bring the food they were most proud of. The beekeeper would work all summer to make delicious honey for the feast. And the cow farmer (SFX COWBELL/ SFX COW) would bring her sweetest, creamiest milk!
No one would dare miss it!
Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth and keep on brushing!
But there was one person who missed the Harvest Festival every year: Olive the Witch.
Olive: It’s not fair!
Olive was always turned away from the festival because of the food she would bring to share. Olive grew a very stinky FRUIT -- called DURIAN.
Durian smells really bad – like rotten eggs and wet garbage (SFX FLIES). BUT it actually TASTES really yummy!
Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth.
Olive had tried to explain, but each year Clementine turned her and her durian away.
(SFX CLEMENTINE HARUMPH)
CLEMENTINE: Get that rotten egg and wet garbage stuff OUT OF HERE!
OLIVE: If you try it -- you'll like it! I promise.
But without even trying it, Clementine and the villagers (SFX MURMURING VILLAGERS) had decided durian was TOO GROSS.
So Olive decided to CAST A SPELL on Clementine.
Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth!
So on the morning of the festival, Olive snuck up behind Clementine. (SFX XYLOPHONE SCALE UP) She mumbled a few magic words (SILLY MAGIC WORDS SFX) and… zapped Clementine with a magic spell (ZAP SFX).
CLEMENTINE: Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! (SFX WHISTLE/ TWANG)
Olive had SHRUNK Clementine, to the size of a CHERRY TOMATO! She tossed the tiny farmer into a shoebox.
(SFX RATTLING, SFX CLEMENTINE UNSHRINK ME, IT’S MY FESTIVAL)
