Gooood morning, it's time for Chompers: Your morning and night toothbrushing show!
Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush the molars in the way back too.
3, 2, 1 brush!
It’s Nature Week, and today we’ve got some I-Spys for you. That means I’ll describe something I’m seeing to you, and you’ll have to guess what I’m talking about!
Here’s your first one:
I’m in a rainforest, surrounded by giant trees, squawking birds, and tiny lizards scurrying around. I also see an insect, with big, beautiful blue wings, and tiny little antennae on top of its itty bitty head.
What do I spy? Shout it out…
>> Kids: A Butterfly!
Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.
There are more than fifteen THOUSAND different types of butterflies in the world. Before butterflies grow their stunning wings, they start off as caterpillars. Caterpillars kind of look like a worm, once a caterpillar is ready, it will form a cocoon around itself, kind of like a little shell, and in the cocoon it will turn into a fabulous butterfly.
Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too.
Here’s your next I Spy:
I am standing on hot sand, and as I look around me, I see flat dusty ground and cactuses. I hear a hawk screech and a tumbleweed rolls by in the dry wind.
What do I spy? Where am I? Shout it out
>> Kids: The desert!
Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and don’t brush too hard
The desert may seem dusty and empty, but there are actually A LOT of creatures that live there.
Many of the animals that live in the desert are NOCTURNAL -- that means they are awake at night. That’s because the desert gets TOO HOT during the day, so they only come out in the cool of night.
That’s it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more I Spys. Until then, make sure to rinse and 3, 2, 1 spit!
