>>RACHEL: Good morning, it’s time for Chompers! Your morning and night tooth brushing show. 


Start your brushing on one side of the top of your mouth, and make sure you brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth. 


>> KIDS: 3-2-1 Brush!

>>RACHEL: It’s Everybody Week, and today we’ve got some riddles to get you guessing! 


Ready for your first one? 


I may look like a pet

But I’m really on the job 

I help my pal to get around 

I am a special kind of dog 


What am I?


[MUSIC BEGINS]


>>KID: A Service Dog! 


[WOOF!]


>>RACHEL: A Service dog is a dog that is trained to help people with disabilities! I’ll tell you more about it after you Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth…


[SWITCH BELL]


-and make sure you reach the molars in the way back. 


Some service dogs help people who are blind walk around. Other service dogs can turn on lights or open doors. 


[BARK, DOOR OPENS]


Some service dogs even help people who feel sad or scared. 


[SNIFFLE, BARK]


It’s important not to go and pet a service dog, even if they might seem super cute! 


>>KID: AWW!


>>RACHEL: They are busy helping their owners, and they need to focus on their jobs.

[SWITCH BELL] 


>>RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too.

I’m sort of like a letter

But one that you can touch

I’m made of bumps in special shapes

And I can say so much


What am I?

>>KID: Braille!


>>RACHEL: Braille! 


Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, 


[SWITCH BELL] 


>>RACHEL: -and give your tongue a brush too. 


Braille is a way of writing for people who are blind, or have trouble seeing. It’s made of raised dots, that you can FEEL instead of SEE. 


[XYLOPHONE]


>>RACHEL: People read braille by running their fingers over the shapes! 


You might find Braille on the buttons of an elevator…


[ELEVATOR BELL]


>>RACHEL: -or in a library…


>>LIBRARIAN: SHHHH! 


>>RACHEL: (whispered) because there are entire books written in braille!
